Blue Hawaiian

Drinking a Blue Hawaiian is a great way to add a tropical element to any celebration!

The original Blue Hawaiian was invented in 1957 by Harry Yee. Its the kitschiest cocktail on the list. The bright blue color of the drink makes it perfect for a luau or a beach party.

Two Blue Hawaiian Recipes

Did you know? The Blue Hawaiian Cocktail is sometimes called the Swimming Pool Cocktail especially when it features cream of coconut instead of sweet and sour mix. On Vintage by the Bite, you’ll find two tropical takes on this mid-century classic:
✨ A classic Blue Hawaiian, shaken and served over ice
✨ A vintage blended version, smooth and frosty with a splash of coconut flair

Both are bright, beachy, and perfect for your retro party!
