Vintage By The Bite Review: Campbell’s Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup
I cracked open a can of nostalgia today
I finally received my Campbell’s Limited Edition Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup that I ordered from Amazon!
I’m a longtime Campbell’s fan, and I was so excited to get my hands on these limited editions!
The Look
The packaging is so cute still classic Campbell’s, but with a fun twist of orange and red.
I love it!
It stays true to the Campbell’s style from its era (1950s, 1960s, etc.).
When poured into the pan, the presentation is very similar to traditional tomato soup.
The Smell
It smelled like a lighter version of their tomato soup.
The Taste Test
The first bite tasted like their classic tomato soup with a cheesy twist, but the second bite really surprised me it tasted just like a grilled cheese sandwich!
The texture is lighter than regular tomato soup and definitely best served hot.
It’s smoother than their traditional tomato soup and doesn’t have that tangy flavor, which I actually prefer.
It’s a fun surprise when the grilled cheese flavor comes through!
This would have been a hit with mid-century families!
I’d love to try it again.
Pairings & Serving Ideas
I served it with thick grated cheese on top and, of course, a grilled cheese sandwich. It would be great with a cherry cola and ambrosia salad.
Nostalgia Factor
It really gave me those childhood vibes I could totally see my mom or grandma making this soup back in the day!

I would definitely recommend this to my readers!
It’s a cozy twist on a classic. On a vintage-style scale, I’d rate it 4 out of 5 Jell-O molds (when I said Jell-O molds, my husband laughed!).
It’s smooth, comforting, and full of those nostalgic flavors we all love.
