Fresh Squeezed Citrus Sipper
🍊 Brunch Just Got Brighter: This Citrus Sipper is Bursting with Retro Flavor
Bring back bright memories with this fresh take on a classic orange drink! Inspired by the original Sunkist Orangeade recipe, this easy citrus sipper is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sunny afternoon pick-me-up.
🧡 A Slice of Citrus History
Sunkist Growers began in 1908 and quickly blossomed into one of the world’s leading citrus producers.
By 1926, fresh oranges proudly stamped with the Sunkist logo were popping up in supermarkets across America—ushering in the golden age of orange juice and morning refreshment.
🍊 Why Make Fresh Orange Juice?
Fresh-squeezed orange juice is naturally packed with vitamin C and vibrant flavor.
Best of all, you control the sweetness no added syrups or mystery ingredients, just good old-fashioned juice the way it used to be served.
🍹 Mocktail Twist
Turn this citrus sipper into a bubbly brunch mocktail!
Just add a splash of club soda and serve it over ice with a slice of orange or lemon. It’s refreshing, fizzy, and oh-so-retro.

🍊 Fresh-Squeezed Citrus Sipper Notes
A zesty homemade refresher, perfect for sunny afternoons and retro get-togethers!
This is my interpretation and notes from the original recipe. I’ve included the original below!
You will need a small pan and a metal strainer to make the simple syrup.
I also strained the fresh orange juice and lemon juice. No pulp just how I like it.
If you only have small oranges, you will probably need more like 6 oranges to make the fresh orange juice.
Having a couple extra oranges on hand won’t hurt because you might want more of an orange flavor.
2 Pints is equal to 4 Cups which was my math ha-ha therefore 4 Cups of total water.
Lastly, serve over ice, garnish with orange slices.
